My hospitality career started in Hawaii where I am from. I started working at the Hyatt Regency Waikaloa on the Big Island when I was 15. At 17 I transferred to the Hyatt Regency Poipu on Kauai and opened that hotel. I stayed with Hyatt for 13 years and was one of their youngest managers at 19 years of age. I have managed 6 Best Westerns, 1 Casino Hotel property and at my last hotel was the Director of Sales and Marketing and acting AGM at an Airport Hotel in Oregon that our main clientele was the 3 airlines that I secured a multi-million dollarmulti year contract with. I moved to Mascoutah Illinois 4 years ago because my fiance was based here at Scott AFB and walked in the door 1 afternoon and met Diane and the rest is history. I hope that my love and passion for the Hospitality Industry shines through with every guest interaction and I take pride in making sure every exchange is impactful. I have a knack for sales & marketing and enjoy the challenge. I always say that there is never a dull moment in hospitality…and have compared it to the ocean tides. Sometimes it’s shallow..sometimes it’s high tide with huge waves with a strong chance of drowning. It’s ever changing and yet fascinating. I feel blessed to be able to wake up and drive to work every day and help create a culture for the staff that we all enjoy.
